391 Unconfirmed Minutes of extra Ordinary Meeting of the Playground Charity 521323 Trustees, held on 1st August 2016 which followed the Parish Council Meeting, in the Silverdale Institute.
392 Present: Chairman – T.G. (Terry) Bond, Councillors J. (John) Bennett, A.J. (Tony) Houghton, S.L. (Shirley) Mason, N. (Nigel) Ribbons and D. (David) Sandiford, the Clerk – L.D. (Denise) Challenor, and x members of the public.
394 Apologies for Absence: Councillor P.N. (Paul) Williams, K. (Keith) Palmer and the Deputy Clerk – S.D. (Sue) Hayward.
395 Minutes of the Previous Meeting
Minutes of the last meeting held on 4th July 2016 were approved by the Trustees then signed by the Chairman

397 Declarations of Trustees Interests Relating to any items appearing on the Agenda.
398 Matters Raised by Members of the Public for Future Consideration. – None.

399 Playground Repairs. An update on the remaining playground repairs had been provided by Cllr. Bennett (Report emailed to Cllrs. 15/7/16)
RESOLVED Playdale will be approached regarding the Wooden Log Train as it is thought to be under warranty; the Clerk to ask Stefan not to fill it with Epoxy Resin for now; also the Trim Trail again thought to be under the 15 year warranty;
Stefan be asked to go ahead with the repair to the Large Multi Unit as explained on the report;
The woodchip needed underneath the zip-wire to be delayed to allow time to explore other alternatives, as this is constantly needing attention;
Gate to toddler area. The toddlers area is not thought to need a gate Playdale can supply the parts if necessary at a cost of £37.
Main Gate at the entrance urgently needs either repair or possibly a proprietary self closing mechanism. Options are being considered as to which is feasible.
Flat Swings would benefit from the seat level being raised. Some Q links have been obtained and will be fitted.

340 Soft-Fall Areas. A quote has been received from City Council of £1008 (excluding vat) for repairs and extension of soft-fall areas with grass mats. This was thought to be excessive for labour. (Emailed 20/716) RESOLVED to approach SLDC for an additional quote and check whether the quote for labour can be reduced by City Council.

341 The date for the next meeting of the Trustees – September 5th 2016.
