SILVERDALE PARISH COUNCIL – Trustees of Silverdale Childrens Playground Charity

Trustees are hereby summoned, and members of the public are invited, to attend an extra Ordinary Meeting of the Playground Charity 521323 Trustees, on 4th May 2017 following the Parish Council Meeting, in the Silverdale Institute, Spring Bank, Silverdale, for the purposes detailed in the following Agenda:
1. To receive apologies for absence.
2. To confirm the Minutes of the last meeting held on 3rd April 2017.
3. To raise any matters arising.
4. To receive declarations of Trustees interests relating to any items appearing on the Agenda.
5. To receive an update on playground repairs.
6. To consider composing a list of “wearing parts” for Playdale equipment in case they are no longer available. (Suggestion emailed 10/4/17)
7. To receive the Annual Accounts 2016-17. (Emailed to Cllr.s on 26/4/17)
8. Matters Raised by Members of the Public for Future Consideration.
9. To confirm the date for the next meeting of the Trustees.

462 Un-confirmed Minutes of an Extraordinary Meeting of the Silverdale Children’s Playground Charity Trustees held in the Silverdale Institute on Thursday, 4th May 2017.
463 Present: Chairman – J. (John) Bennett, Councillors T.G. (Terry) Bond, A.J. (Tony) Houghton, K. (Keith) Palmer, (Nigel) Ribbons, D. (David) Sandiford. the Clerk – L.D. (Denise) Challenor, the Deputy Clerk – S.D. (Sue) Hayward and one member of the public.
464 Apologies for Absence: Councillors S.L. (Shirley) Mason and P.N. (Paul) Williams.
465 Minutes of Previous Meeting
The Clerk referred to item 460 regarding the bank account – the section from “to itemize…(rather than open a new account)” should have been deleted, the minutes of the Ordinary meeting of the Playground Charity Trustees held on Monday, 3rd April were duly amended, approved and signed by the Chairman.
466 Receipt of Information about Matters Arising from the Minutes of Previous Meetings, not Covered by the Agenda
No information received.
467 Receipt of Declarations of Trustees’ Interests Relating to any Items Appearing on the Agenda
None.
468 Inspection Reports/ Repairs
Councillor Bennett circulated Mt Tim Lambert’s weekly inspection check list dated 30th April with notes and action recommended by Mr Lambert for information. One of the notes pertained to the need for a designated bin for dog waste, however, it was agreed that any litter bin can be used for dog waste. Councillor Bennett reported that the metal gate from the entrance to the playground is close to being ready, Members, therefore, RESOLVED to allow another 2 weeks for the gate to be put back in place by Mr Paul Holgate.
469 Playdale
Councillor Bennett suggested that any ‘wearing parts’ supplied by Playdale be ordered in case they become unavailable; RESOLVED that Councillor Bennett compile a list.
470 Annual Accounts 2016/17
It was noted that the accounts had been circulated by email and that the bank account was closed on 3rd April when the balance was £290.59; this has been transferred to the Silverdale Parish Council account.
471 Matters raised by Members of the Public for Future Consideration
A resident reported that groups of young people (over the age of 14) are visiting the playground regularly. RESOLVED that the Clerk check the deeds to the playground as well as the notices in the playground regarding the age limits of those using the playground and that the Council monitor the situation.
