70 Un-confirmed Minutes of an Ordinary Meeting of the Silverdale Children’s Playground Charity Trustees held in the Silverdale Institute on Monday, 6th June 2011.
71 Present: Chairman – Councillor T.G. (Terry) Bond, Councillors H. (Harriet) Bradfield, A.J. (Tony) Houghton, S.L. (Shirley) Mason, K. (Keith) Palmer, N. (Nigel) Ribbons, P.N. (Paul) Williams and A. (Angela) Woods, the Clerk – L.D. (Denise) Challenor, the Deputy Clerk – S.D. (Sue) Hayward, City Councillor K. (Kath) Graham, Geographic Police Inspector 1263 Vickers, PS 3490 John Bond, PC 2866 Tony Marsh and 7 members of the public.

73 Minutes of Previous Meetings
The Minutes of the Extraordinary Meeting of the Playground Charity Trustees held on Monday, 4th April 2011 were approved then signed by the Chairman.
74 Receipt of Information about Matters Arising from the Minutes of Previous Meetings, not Covered by the Agenda
None.
75 Receipt of Declarations of Trustees’ Interests Relating to any Items Appearing on the Agenda
None.
76 Matters Raised by Members of the Public for Future Consideration
A resident asked for a list of members of the Playground Management Committee and sought clarification as to whether or not ‘a local businessman’ is still on the Committee.
77 Playground Accounts
The Clerk presented the accounts for 2010/11 and it was noted that there was a credit balance of £524.20 as at 31st March 2011.
78 Text Giving
It was noted that the Clerk had received some correspondence regarding the (free) setting up of ‘text giving’ to charities by members of the public via vodaphone texting; the correspondence was passed to Councillor Ribbons for information.
79 Repairs to the Playground Equipment/ Payment Authorisation
It was noted that Mr Michael Knight had been unable to repair the self-closing gate as another part was needed; the Clerk has contacted Playdale about it but will not place the order until Councillor Ribbons advises her on what else is needed following the playground inspection by Lancaster City Council (Lancaster CC).
RESOLVED to authorise payment and sign the cheque for the following account:
Playdale (self-closing gate spring for steelway gate and 2 anti-wrap bearings) £94.03 (100004)
80 Inspection Report
It was noted that Lancaster CC has inspected the playground and provided a report – the main repairs identified as necessary were the refixing of the benches, the see-saw and the springy toys; the end caps were missing to various places. RESOLVED that Councillor Ribbons would liaise with Mr Knight about the repairs and RESOLVED to order a supply of plastic dome cap washers, dome caps and anything else that is needed.
81 Date of Next Meeting
It was noted that the date of the next meeting is Monday, 3rd October 2011.
