91 Un-confirmed Minutes of an Extraordinary Meeting of the Silverdale Children’s Playground Charity Trustees held in the Silverdale Institute on Monday, 3rd October 2011.
92 Present: Chairman – Councillor T.G. (Terry) Bond, Councillors H.M.E. (Harriet) Bradfield, A.J. (Tony) Houghton, S.L. (Shirley) Mason, K. (Keith) Palmer, N. (Nigel) Ribbons, P.N. (Paul) Williams and A. (Angela) Woods, the Clerk – L.D. (Denise) Challenor, the Deputy Clerk – S.D. (Sue) Hayward and one member of the public.

94 Minutes of Previous Meeting
The Minutes of the Ordinary Meeting of the Playground Charity Trustees held on Monday, 1st August 2011 were approved then signed by the Chairman.
95 Receipt of Information about Matters Arising from the Minutes of Previous Meetings, not Covered by the Agenda
None.
96 Receipt of Declarations of Trustees’ Interests Relating to any Items Appearing on the Agenda
None.
97 Matters Raised by Members of the Public for Future Consideration
A member of the public reported that the fence that borders Cove Road is in need of repair.
98 RoSPA Report
The contents of the RoSPA report were noted. RESOLVED that the Clerk contact Mr Michael Knight, Playground Contractor, to:
1. Remind him to check the equipment e.g. the ‘cradle’ swings and to check for rotten wood,
2. Request the return of the hose, obtained for the repair of the zip wire, in order that Councillor Ribbons can carry out the repair,
3. Highlight that the gate is still in need of repair and to request that this be done by 20th October (before half-term).
99 Other Works Necessary
It was noted that the bark to the aerial slide is in need of replacement but that the appropriate time to relace it is February.
RESOLVED that the Clerk remind Mr Knight of the terms of his contract – “Weekly checking and recording of the condition of all equipment and the play area. Any defect to be rectified as soon as possible, otherwise to be reported to the Clerk if no remedial action has been taken.”
100 Date of Next Meeting
It was noted that the date of the next meeting is Monday, 6th February 2012, when authorisation for expenditure on bark will be discussed.
