187   Un-confirmed Minutes of an Extraordinary Meeting of the Silverdale Children’s Playground Charity Trustees held in the Silverdale Institute on Monday, 4^th March 2013.

188   Present:  Chairman  –  Councillor T.G. (Terry) Bond, Councillors H.M.E. (Harriet) Bradfield, S.L. (Shirley) Mason, K. (Keith) Palmer, N. (Nigel) Ribbons and P.N. (Paul) Williams and A. (Angela) Woods, the Clerk  –  L.D. (Denise) Challenor, the Deputy Clerk  –  S.D. (Sue) Hayward and no members of the public.

190   Minutes of Previous Meeting

The Minutes of the Ordinary meeting of the Playground Charity Trustees held on Monday, 4^th February 2013 were approved then signed by the Chairman.

191   Receipt of Information about Matters Arising from the Minutes of Previous Meetings, not Covered by the Agenda

The Chairman referred to item 172, regarding the wooden strips around the wetpour – he will discuss this with Lancaster City Council’s (Lancaster CC) inspector on site.

192   Receipt of Declarations of Trustees’ Interests Relating to any Items Appearing on the Agenda

None.

193   Matters Raised by Members of the Public for Future Consideration

None.

194   Playground Report

It was noted that:  1.  Mr Neil Pharaoh will replace the ply infills to the bridge;  2.  the anti-wrap bearing to the double cradle seat swing is damaged.  RESOLVED to leave this for the moment.

RESOLVED to ask Lancaster CC to continue with their free quarterly inspections (and up to £100 of repairs) for the period 1^st April 2013 – 31^st March 2014.

195   Playground Repairs

It was noted that a piece of fencing has been replaced but that it has been fitted the wrong way round.

196   Aerial Runway

RESOLVED to:  1.  opt for a membrane and rubber chips (in brown or green) to resurface the runway;

2.  check grant possibilities towards the cost of the resurfacing;  3.  check the surface area to be covered and price the membrane and rubber chips.

197   Date of Next Meeting

It was noted that the date of the next meeting is Thursday, 4^th April 2013.
