302 Un-confirmed Minutes of an Ordinary Meeting of the Silverdale Children’s Playground Charity Trustees held in the Silverdale Institute on Monday, 1st December 2014.
303 Present: Chairman – T.G. (Terry) Bond, Councillors H.M.E. (Harriet) Bradfield, A.J. (Tony) Houghton, K. (Keith) Palmer, N. (Nigel) Ribbons, P.N. (Paul) Williams and A. (Angela) Woods, the Clerk – L.D. (Denise) Challenor, the Deputy Clerk – S.D. (Sue) Hayward and 3 members of the public.

305 Minutes of Previous Meeting
The Minutes of the Ordinary meeting of the Playground Charity Trustees held on Monday, 1st September were approved then signed by the Chairman.
306 Receipt of Information about Matters Arising from the Minutes of Previous Meetings, not Covered by the Agenda

308 Matters Raised by Members of the Public for Future Consideration

309 Inspection Report/ Repairs
It was noted that the Lancaster City Council (Lancaster CC) Inspector has raised the following:
1. height of the flat seat swing – the Inspector would like this raised to 450mm from the ground; it was noted, however, that RoSPA’s guidance is a the height of 350mm or more – the swing complies with this; RESOLVED to write to Lancaster CC regarding the swing height;
2. the balance beam is considered to be rotten – the Chairman has inspected this and found it to be in satisfactory order;
3. the bolts to the scramble net protrude – Mr Stefan Laws has inspected these and found them to be satisfactory and to have end caps. RESOLVED that the Chairman check the bolts;
4. there is damage to the anti-wrap bearing to the cradle seat swing – no action is considered necessary.
310 Finances
It was noted that Silverdale Parish Council will pay for the repair to the rubber matting in the playground at a cost of £66 + VAT; the repair will be carried out by Lancaster CC.
311 Fundraising
Councillor Ribbons advised that he will contact the Gaskell Hall committee to request a date for a Saturday coffee morning.
312 Date of Next Meeting
It was noted that the date of the next meeting is Thursday, 9th April 2015.
