313 Un-confirmed Minutes of an Ordinary Meeting of the Silverdale Children’s Playground Charity Trustees held in the Silverdale Institute on Monday, 2nd March 2015.
314 Present: Chairman – T.G. (Terry) Bond, Councillors A.J. (Tony) Houghton, S.L. (Shirley) Mason K. (Keith) Palmer, N. (Nigel) Ribbons, P.N. (Paul) Williams and A. (Angela) Woods, the Clerk – L.D. (Denise) Challenor, the Deputy Clerk – S.D. (Sue) Hayward and no members of the public.

316 Minutes of Previous Meeting
The Minutes of the Ordinary meeting of the Playground Charity Trustees held on Monday, 1st December were approved then signed by the Chairman.

320 Inspection Report/ Repairs
The Clerk reported that she has been in touch with Mr Paul Cocker, Playground Inspector (Lancaster City Council), and he advised that the minimum height for swings at rest is 350mm from the underside of the base to the ground. He also reported that the protruding bolts on the cargo net are on the inside and could catch someone running between the net and the apparatus. RESOLVED that Councillor Ribbons look to see if he has some suitable end caps. With regard to the anti-wrap swing bearing and the rotten end of the balance beam Mr Cocker advised that there is no need to take immediate action, but both need monitoring.
RESOLVED to ask Mr Cocker if he would take Mr Stefan Laws with him on his next inspection and explain what constitutes a potential hazard.
321 Fundraising
Councillor Ribbons advised that he is trying to book the Gaskell Hall for a Saturday coffee morning.
322 Date of Next Meeting
It was noted that the date of the next meeting is Thursday, 9th April 2015.
