333 Un-confirmed Minutes of an Extraordinary Meeting of the Silverdale Children’s Playground Charity Trustees held in the Silverdale Institute on Monday, 6th July 2015.
334 Present: Chairman – T.G. (Terry) Bond, Councillors J. (John) Bennett, A.J. (Tony) Houghton, S.L. (Shirley) Mason, K. (Keith) Palmer, N. (Nigel) Ribbons, D. (David) Sandiford and P.N. (Paul) Williams, the Clerk – L.D. (Denise) Challenor, the Deputy Clerk – S.D. (Sue) Hayward and seven members of the public.
335 Apologies for Absence: None.
336 Minutes of Previous Meeting
With reference to items 327 and 329, it was noted that it was not Mr Cocker who carried out the inspection, but Mr Blenkinship, the Minutes of the Ordinary meeting of the Playground Charity Trustees held on Monday, 11th May were duly amended, approved then signed by the Chairman.
337 Receipt of Information about Matters Arising from the Minutes of Previous Meetings, not Covered by the Agenda
Councillor Ribbons referred to item 320, regarding end caps for the protruding bolts on the cargo net, and advised that he will look and see if he has any suitable end caps. He also referred to item 329 and informed Members that he will inspect the tree stump (mentioned in the Lancaster City Council (Lancaster CC) playground inspection report of 1st April) and will spray the paved area inside the entrance gate with patio cleaner.
338 Receipt of Declarations of Trustees’ Interests Relating to any Items Appearing on the Agenda
339 Matters raised by Members of the Public for Future Consideration
Mr Paul Holgate announced that, to mark the tenth anniversary of the playground next year, he would like to make a contribution, for example, replacing some items or adding some benches.
340 Inspection Report/ Repairs
It was noted that one of the carriages to the wooden train is rotten; RESOLVED to remove it if it is highlighted in the next Lancaster CC inspection report.
It was further noted that the sleeve over the chain to the aerial slide is wearing out. RESOLVED that Councillor Ribbons look into replacing this.
341 Finance
It was noted that a donation of £250 has been made by Silverdale Community Cinema and that the Clerk has written to thank them.
RESOLVED to authorize a payment of £92.50 to Silverdale Parish Council towards the cost of the stepping posts.
342 Date of Next Meeting
It was noted that the date of the next meeting is Monday, 5th October 2015.
