343 Un-confirmed Minutes of an Ordinary Meeting of the Silverdale Children’s Playground Charity Trustees held in the Silverdale Institute on Monday, 5th October 2015.
344 Present: Chairman – T.G. (Terry) Bond, Councillors J. (John) Bennett, A.J. (Tony) Houghton, S.L. (Shirley) Mason, (Nigel) Ribbons, D. (David) Sandiford and P.N. (Paul) Williams, the Clerk – L.D. (Denise) Challenor, the Deputy Clerk – S.D. (Sue) Hayward and one member of the public.

346 Minutes of Previous Meeting
The Minutes of the Extraordinary meeting of the Playground Charity Trustees held on Monday, 6th July were approved then signed by the Chairman.
347 Receipt of Information about Matters Arising from the Minutes of Previous Meetings, not Covered by the Agenda
Councillor Ribbons referred to: (1) item 320 – he advised that he will deliver a supply of end caps for the protruding bolts on the cargo net to Mr Stefan Laws and will spray the paved area inside the entrance gate with patio cleaner; (2) item 340, regarding the sleeve over the chain to the aerial slide – he advised that he has obtained a replacement.

349 Matters raised by Members of the Public for Future Consideration/ Terms of Reference
Mrs June Greenwell reminded Members that the Playground Management Committee (of which she is a member) requires its Terms of Reference in order that the authorization for spending funds etc. is clear. RESOLVED that the Chairman draft and circulate a proposed Terms of Reference.
350 Playground Management Committee
RESOLVED that Councillor Bennett be appointed as the councils’ representative on the Playground Management Committee.
351 Inspection Report/ Repairs
It was noted that Mr Laws’ most recent playground report had identified some rotten roof panels to the tower. RESOLVED that the Chairman inspect the roof panels to check which ones are in need of replacement and that the Clerk obtain costs for their replacement.
RESOLVED that Councillors Bennett and Ribbons check the anti-wrap bearing to the cradle seat swing.
It was noted that the play equipment is ten years old and that there is a need for a programme of replacement.
352 Date of Next Meeting
It was noted that the date of the next meeting is Monday, 2nd November 2015.
